Specifications: WHERE TO USE
Properly painted or primed Interior surfaces. Ideal for Trim, Doors, Molding, Baseboards, Furniture, Picture Frames, Lamps, Architectural Accents and Decorative Metalwork. Can be applied to a wall over an existing base color using various techniques and tools as well as over a Faux Glazing technique using the same application technique.
PREPARATION*
Remove loose paint, wash off any dirt and grease with detergent, remove mildew stains with BEHR® MULTI-SURFACE CLEANER & MILDEW STAIN REMOVER NO. 62.
Rinse and allow to dry. Scuff sand glossy surfaces.
On metal surfaces, remove all rust with a wire brush.
Countersink nailheads, repair imperfections and sand smooth.
Remove all dust with a damp cloth, allow to dry.
Prime with BEHR ENAMEL UNDERCOATER PRIMER & SEALER NO. 75.
APPLICATION
Refer to the BEHR Faux Accents Colors & Techniques Guide and www.behr.com for additional instructions on application. Apply using a brush, roller, sea sponge, cloth rag or airless sprayer (.015 spray tip). Use product when the surface and air temperatures are between 50-90°F (10-32°C). Stir thoroughly before and occasionally during application. Do not thin if using a roller or brush. If using a sprayer and thinning is required, thin with water at a rate of no more than 2 oz. per quart. Typical coverage is 50 sq. ft. per quart. Two thin coats are necessary to achieve uniform coverage and hide.
DRY TIME
Dries to touch in 1 hour at 75°F (23°C) and 50% humidity, re-coat in 4 hours.
Longer dry time required in cooler temperatures and in higher humidity.
After 4 weeks, surface is fully cured and may be cleaned with a mild, non-abrasive liquid detergent.
